A stunning organic farm estate set in the picturesque hills of Umbria, the green heart of Italy, where you can holiday with family or friends in one of two luxury villas for rent. The interiors are luxurious, stylish and comfortable. Each with their own landscaped gardens and heated swimming pool offering 360 degree views over the magnificent scenery.In Umbria on the border with Tuscany, and on the edge of the Monte Rufeno national park, Torre dei Venti is a haven of peace and tranquillity, yet conveniently located 7km from the A1 Autostrada between Rome and Florence.
This means easy access to fascinating places including Orvieto, Arrezzo, Assisi, Cetona, Montepulciano, Perugia, Siena and Spoleto as well as the lakes of Bolsena and Trasimeno. The organic farm is home to rare breed cows and pigs and a small flock of sheep. It grows its own fruit and vegetables, produces olive oil from 650 olive trees, wine from its young vineyard, and even high quality saffron.The whole area is a food lover’s paradise - Umbria is home to the world famous salty Pecorino cheese and crisp dry Orvieto wine. Some of Italy’s finest wine areas are on the doorstep and there are many small family-run vineyards which welcome visitors.
Property has eight en suite bedrooms laid out over two buildings, separated by a beautiful courtyard.
The main building with the tower:
Ground floor: dining room, breakfast room, fabulous kitchen and guest cloakroom
First floor: lounge, music/TV room, bar, snooker room, guest cloakroom
Second floor: master bedroom and second bedroom, both en-suite. The master bed is a Super King size bed (2m) and the other is a King size bed.
Third floor: third bedroom, en suite, again with a King size bed.
The second building:
Ground floor: family/TV room, kitchenette, gym, sauna, guest cloakroom, shower room
First floor: four en suite bedrooms and sitting/reading area on the landing. One bedroom has a super King size bed (2m), one is King size and the other bedrooms have twin beds which join up comfortably as King size.
Ground floor apartment: this is completely self-contained with a Super King size bed (2m) in the bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and fully equipped kitchen.
The gardens which surround the property are truly delightful.
These stunning terraced gardens were created by the famous Tuscan landscape designer Alberto Margheriti.Numerous sitting out areas offer great views over the hills and valleys below.Lavender, jasmine, rosemary, thyme, sage, roses and even a sweet curry leaf plant all flourish in the sunshine.
At guests' disposal a panoramic swimming pool, a gazebo with stone built barbeque and pizza oven is the perfect place for a lazy lunch or romantic evening dining.And for the even more energetic, the gardens include a shady boules court.

ORVIETO AND TODI, CITIES OF ART AND HIDDEN TREASURES
This area, on the west side of Umbria, holds in it two pearls of very high cultural attraction: Orvieto and Todi. The two towns, though belonging to two different provinces, are just thirty miles away, and each has its own peculiarities and traditions. Their two counties are divided by the Tiber River Park and the Lake Corbara, an area particularly attractive for its natural environment.
- Orvieto: a visit to the city on the cliff of tufa is a must, with its unique wonderful cathedral, the entire historic center, Palazzo del Popolo, San Patrizio well, Etruscan necropolis, Roman port of Pagliano, Orvieto Underground..
- Todi: cute historic center, Piazza del Popolo and the cathedral, the churches and the Sanctuary of Consolation, the Art Gallery, Museum of rural traditions.
- Allerona: located north of Orvieto, near the beautiful scenarios of the natural park of Villalba, La Selva di Meana (Villa Cahen) and the Elmo forest.
- Porano: cute little town, with the Etruscan tomb of Hescanas and the beautiful Villa Paolina.
- Montecastello of Vibio: one of the most beautiful towns in Italy (near Todi). We recommend a visit to its center and the world's smallest theater.
- Civitella del Lago: small scenic village, with its cute center and the original Ovo Pinto Museum (Painted eggs museum).
